When my full-time job in public accounting started taking too much time away from my family, I knew I needed to make a change. I left public accounting to become Director of Finance at a nonprofit with nearly 400 employees. It allowed me to be home more often, but many evenings my brain would still be at work. I left my job to focus on my family while my children were young. Now that they are older and more independent, I have the availability and flexibility to do what I enjoy – accounting!
I love popcorn (stove-top, not that microwave stuff), shrimp, and all things carbs. I’m a spreadsheet junkie and love learning new tricks and formulas in Excel. Most evenings and weekends you can find me relaxing, usually with a book in my hand.
My knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, auditing, and taxes, combined with my experience with mom-and-pop shops, service-based business, large and small nonprofits, and local government units has prepared me to assist you. I know how important your time is, and that’s why I want to help.
